Is it normal that i'm never going to be normal?

I just feel like I'm never going to be normal...I just feel strange and everybody else agrees. They think I'm weird, uncool and unpopular because I like reading sci-fi, playing videogames and because I get scared with the purpose of life.

See, we are scared to be individual. I wont lie I am too. We are scared to be ourselves, instead we judge ourselves based on the majority of society.
If everyone was into videogames, sci fi, and the purpose of life and you wasn't then youd feel weird because you aren't the majority.

Just be yourself, whats so bad about those things you like?
the world would be a boring place if we all enjoyed the same things :P

Biologically speaking, you're only here to propagate the species.
What you actually do with your time on Earth is mostly up to you. Try to use that time intelligently and help others where and when you can.
As long as you are satisfied that your personal actions are fair and correct, if other people think less of you, it's only an opinion that has no base in reality.
Don't let the fools bother you.

Ah, the existential crisis, happens to many people, myself included.

And as far as being "not normal" for playing videogames and reading sci-fi, is your hometown stuck in 1983 or something?

The nerds of old are the cool kids now! Sci-fi, videogames, superheroes, all mainstream stuff! Ever seen a superhero movie? Hell, star Trek is blockbuster motion picture, and everyone was talking about the new star wars.

Maybe it can be still considered geeky to know how to build a PC, or to have a retro videogame collection, but it's not the ticket to ridicule it used to be.

Hell, about the only thing (unfortunately) that might invite ridicule anymore is wearing a My Little Pony shirt, not that the people doing the ridicule should matter anyway, they can go fuck themselves.

So pull out your Xbox, buy that copy of "No escape" for the Atari 2600 you been eying on eBay, stream your favorite episode of Doctor Who, clean the glass on the framed Star Wars poster in your room, and hell, wear that mlp Applejack t shirt if you want! Also, go out and find some friends who like you for you, those backwards assholes who make fun of you now aren't worth your time.

I game, collect games, work on computers, watch star wars, and I'm a Brony, (among other things, or course) and I have no regrets.
