Is it normal that i'm going to be sad when video stores all go out of business?
In my country, video stores are on the brink of extinction. They are all going out of business. This is attributed to there being so many other sources for movies nowadays. Video killed the radio star, then internet killed the video star.
I am one of few people that still goes down to hire my movies. There is one local video store which contains a vast array of films from all eras. It is an archive but its collection is slowly dwindling, through the store having to sell off it's library to survive financially.
Besides being nostalgic and old fashioned about the video store, I also just like the human element of physically going down to hire something, picking something out, talking to the staff and having a movie to watch in its physical form. It seems alot more cultured than just clicking download on a website.
Is it normal to be sad when I think of the store inevitably going out of business?
