Is it normal that i'm dating a guy who's my height and lighter than me?

I'm dating this guy who is approximately my height and bone skinny. I'm 5'5 and about 130 lbs (~60kg). He's about 110 lbs (~50 kg), he can even do backflips.

My friends and my family are giving me weird looks about dating such a small guy. Is it really so abnormal?
