Is it normal that i'm dating a guy this younger than me?

I'm a 46-yr-old woman and I'm currently dating a 23-yr-old man. We get along very well and we adore each other. But is it normal to have such a large age gap?

  • I say it is normal as long as you both are happy with the situation.

It's unusual but if it works for you both why not? I was in a similar situation when I was 23 with a 38 yr old woman. But such a r.ship definitely has its challenges though.

I almost always date or gravitate to women older and sometimes a lot older . It is what seems to be most compatible unless I meet someone within my age range who is very mature and wise both mentally and emotionally . I say it's normal :) as long as you are both happy and enjoy each other .. who care's what others think , no matter what we do in life .. someone will have something silly to say but who really cares as long as we are happy in what we are doing! I am glad you found a nice young man who you adore :D

Depends if you are looking for a short or a long term relationship.

In a few years you will be old and he will be young.
You will get dumped and he will get a young chick.
    Life sucks.

  • Not normal. Don't think it will last due to the huge gap. Not to be a douche. If you wanna have fun for the time being then go for it, there's nothing wrong with it. However I personally don't think you should expect the relationship to be a long and lengthy one.

I could be wrong but that's just my thoughts.

I wouldn't say it's normal, like typical, but could be ok and fun for now at least. If you were 60 and he was 37 (same age difference), I'd think things would be more predictable because you're both mostly done growing up and know pretty well what works for you. But since he's 23, he'll mature over the next several years, and might re-think whether he wants to be with a younger woman longer term.
