Is it normal that i'm anxious of triggering loud noises?

My front door has an electronic lock. The keypad is often faulty and I sometimes have to enter into the piano room with a key. But, I'm aware that the moment I take a few steps into the piano room, my house alarms will go off. I get really nervous about the house alarms going off even though it's my own house. IIN?

It is just the sort of thing that people who live in houses with electronic locks and piano rooms have to deal with. Like deciding if you should take brandy in the study or the library.

Yeah I understand that, I'm pretty jumpy when it comes to loud noises and I'm not particularly fond of them for some reason, apart from thunder, love thunder

Weird, I'm the same, love thunder but have a nervous breakdown if someone pops a balloon.

I'm hypersensitive to loud noises too. That is why I'm terrified of balloons.

It may also be a symptom of PTSD.

"It's no secret that our upbringing and experiences can lead to anxiety. While genetics plays a role, anxiety is often forged by the stresses that we've gone through, and how those experiences have reinforced various fears or emotions.

This is why hypersensitivity to noise and sounds is one of the more interesting symptoms of anxiety. Hypersensitivity, or "oversensitivity," is the act of experiencing emotional or auditory distress upon hearing either certain noises or loud noises, and it's something that affects some people that suffer from anxiety."

One of the things that are really off putting for me in this site is the fact that most topics are inane. People should research to exhaustion before asking such a question. It's just wasting my time on research when they should be the ones doing it. I'm not omniconcious. They should just stick to survey polls. Or more intricate sensitive data.
