Wherever someone flirts me, I'm afraid to flirt back, even though I like the guy. I just don't know why. I'm afraid of saying sweet things to a guy.
Am I right in assuming you're the introverted type? Some people just aren't cut out for stuff like that. You get flirters, you get straightshooters, etc - don't force yourself to be something you're not. In any case, you'll attract the wrong kind of guys.
I'm a guy, but I have the same problem. Kind of.
Either my "flirt-detector" is entirely broken or it is just that girls actually never flirt with me, so my problem is not really about fear of "flirting back", but rather is about fear of flirting. Whenever I talk to a girl I am always afraid she'll think I am flirting and see me as a creep. Or something.
I am a person who likes to joke alot, I do this all the time no matter whom I tallk to. And sometimes I feel like that might be mistaken for flirting. Lol.
This irrational as hell, I know. But whatever. You are certainly not alone. :)
Well, I assume you suffer from the threefold combination of (1)introversion, (2)low-self esteem and (3)fear of rejection. I have had the same problem for as long I can remember; I do not flirt with girls because I am scared they'll find me creepy or even laugh at me. And when girls say sweet things to me I just laugh it off as if it would've been some sort of sarcastic joke - it makes shit easier to handle and easier to accept.
Suppose you might recognise this behaviour in yourself?
Works your confidence out and becomes an alpha girl and hook up with all the guys.
Just say, I wish I was your little toe, and when he says why, say cause I'd bang you on every piece of furniture ;)

Think you're underestimating how much fun flirting can be. Especially since you're a girl and likely more intelligent than the guy who is hitting on you. Bust his balls.
