Is it normal that i love smoking?

I get bad anxiety and I'm a teen. It relaxes me. before I started smoking I always wanted to try it. I loved the smell and I love the smell on my fingers. I even had dreams about smoking one before I started. it hurts my throat though but apart from that yeah.

If you aren't addicted yet, you should really stop and think- do you want to spend $8 US a day, and no I'm not exaggerating, on your habit...do you want to smell like something that the majority of people find disgusting....do you want premature wrinkles....do you want to pick up a habit that makes you Undatable in the eyes of most people...do you want the feeling of panic when you run out of smokes, and the need to go to the store immediately, no matter the time of day or night....do you want to not be able to exercise as much as you used to, the feeling of being out of breath? I would mention the risk for cancer, heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure, but it doesn't resonate with teenagers- it didn't with me! Quitting smoking is one if the most difficult things I ever had to do- please don't start!

It's not worth it. Bad for your wallet and worse for your health.

It's normal because it's a drug and it's been designed for you to love it and get addicted.

Normal doesn't mean its ok, you should stop. People are making money from your bad health, selling you that shit.
will you continue to fall for that?

I first smoked a cigarette when I was 11. I thought I was cool as hell back then. Fast forward 45 years and I haven't smoked for 12 years. I smoked on and off for all those years because I was never able to quit for good. It was the single most hardest thing I have ever accomplished, when I finally did quit and I was quite proud of myself for actually accomplishing something positive in my life.. All these things being said, I still get cravings 12 years later for a cigarette. I have always fought them off, but lately I've been having overwhelming urges and wake up in the middle of the night with a hard on craving a smoke. Part of me has a feeling that one day I will buy a pack to satisfy these sexual urges. God I want to taste the smoke in my lungs again. If you hear something like that and still want to smoke then I probably can't help you. If I was a teenager today, I would never want to try that first one. The cost is hypocritically insane, I swear they are stronger now than 40 years ago, you literally can't smoke ANYWHERE anymore and everyone looks at you like you're a leper or something. I could understand when they outlawed them in restaurants, but no smoking in bars is just insane. That was one of the places where I smoked the most. Bars and in my car while driving to and from work and on lunch breaks were my favorite places to smoke. How can they tell people in bars drinking that they can't have a cigarette or cigar while they drink? No matter how you feel about smoking, that is wrong to ban them in bars where I bet over 50% of the people would smoke in some fashion. I know a girl, who is a total nonsmoker until she goes out with the girls and has some drinks. Then she always wants to smoke. The thing that always pissed me off though is that she could smoke that night and then go back to being a her nonsmoker self for the next several months. If I smoked like that, I would be puffing away full time after one cigarette. I hate her.(just kidding)

If i go to a bar and the person right next to me gets extremely drunk, it doesn't harm me at all. It depends on me how much i decide to drink.
If i go to a bar and people in the other table are smoking, it harms me (and makes my clothes and hair stink) even if i choose not to smoke.
So... well, I'm glad people can't smoke in bars any more.

You should deal with your anxiety in a different way other than smoking. You'll regret smoking in the future.

It's normal to smoke lots of people do although I stopped because of the price and it's socially awkward. But I used to know a lot of people who smoked at school and I was one of them although it's was nice and is nice if your freinds don't smoke and you go to a public place having to smoke outside when your freinds are inside having fun is bad and also the price

If your not talking about cigarettes then I understand. No it's not bad I've smoked for 4 years off and on. I have friends who say it's a habit or they're addicted to it but honestly with that it's all in your head I'll stop smoking for 3-4 month plus period sometimes I'll do it every morning for a while there's nothing wrong with it unless you feel at the time you do it that there will be something wrong I have bad social anxiety and I just take a few tokes if I'm about to be surrounded by lots of people (example going downtown passing tons of people) and it helps I'm not saying do it every day and be stuck on the couch, unless that is your plan for the day :)
And if you feel like people are judging you then do it alone and don't let anyone know :) and like with anything else if you think you might be doing it too much then stop for a while, I went to Wakarusa music festival and smoked every day for two months and now I just don't feel like it so maybe I'll wait a month or longer before I want anymore it's all up to me:) and it's all up to you but it is enjoyable but if you start please do your research on the good stuff and the quantity before buying any because when I started I didn't know a single thing and I know I got ripped off a good amount of times before I knew what the good was. Good luck and enjoy, also the whole do you really wanna spend 8 dollars a day on your "habit" like I said only a habit if you make it one like cigs, and anyway from a cig a day to an iced coffee a day to getting fast food every day for dinner, whatever relaxes you if you do something everyday that you enjoy costs money then yeah it's gonna cost money just remember that and budget. Now if you are talking about cigs(I won't lie some habits are hard to overcome) then I strongly strongly suggest not to do it I was a cig smoker for two years and I realized every time I smoked it just made my mood worsen you think it helps but I feel like it antagonizes whatever made you wanna smoke it anyway then every time a little thing bring a small amount of stress you'll find yourself rushing somewhere that you can light a cig. But that's my opinion anyway I don't care for the scent but I don't judge cig smokers I just don't encourage it
