Is it normal that i love a student?

I am a 22-year-old first year teacher. I teach all senior, which means that most of my students are 4 years younger than me. There is one particular student who I have (inadvertently and surprisingly) found myself falling for. He is intelligent, talented, charming, and exciting to be around. He clearly reciprocates my feelings in some form (I don't know if that is just attraction or actual feelings). When I am around him, I find myself giddy and excited. Nothing has happened between us, and I absolutely do not want to do anything until after he graduates. My question is, what should I do after graduation?

I think I might have found someone I could share a life with, but he's my student. Help!

    you should think about what people will say if you go for it after he graduates. they might accuse you of improper conduct while he was your student. BUT that's if he returns your feelings at all. it seems too slippery a slope to me.

    Wait until after he graduates.
    Also, are you even for sure if he likes you back? I'd find that out before you get deeper feelings for him.

      Also, I would like to add that after graduation, that you should probably wait a while before you tell him- not like, years, but I wouldn't tell him immediately after the graduation ceremony.

      ...Except for the fact that OP can get fired. It's good that the student they like is technically a legal adult, but if he's still a high school student, OP can still get fired, and possibly go to jail. If OP really wants to pursue a relationship with this guy, then they need to wait until after graduation.
