Is it normal that i'll never understand transgenders?

get gays and lesbians but not trans-gender people. No, I'm not saying what they do is wrong but I do believe that their actions shouldn't be encouraged. All I'm saying is "why can't people be happy with who they're born as?" and "Why is being a male or female unacceptable to them?" Being a male or female should be a happy thing for them, not a bad one. There's reason why you're born a male or female. It was MEANT TO BE. Why try being someone you're clearly not and truly never will be? Sure, you can change your bodily appearance and hormones, but you can't change genetics. Deep down in your chromosomes, you'll always be that baby boy or girl your mother gave birth to. :/

Trans-genders are only lying to themselves and it isn't healthy. It saddens me that people would let their gender make them miserable. :(

But I don't go out and promote anti-transgenderism. I just feel a lot of disbelief and sadness towards them.

My cousin is trans. All I know is, they feel wholeheartedly like they have been born into the wrong body. It plagues them every day. Try to put yourself in their shoes; it can't be easy feeling that way. I'm sure if they could feel happy with their born gender, they would. But they don't. It's a complex thing.

You're saying that deep down on the inside they'll always be that sex that they were born as, but that's just it. Deep down on the inside, they don't feel like that sex. While that person may have a male body on the outside, on the inside he feels like female and vice versa. Gender and sex doesn't always match up and a lot plays into why someone may be a certain sex on the outside but feel like the opposite sex on the inside. I do believe that this is one of those instances that if you are not in their shoes and will never be able to understand.

You're an idiot. Simply put, sometimes the wiring harness in people's brains doesn't match up with the body they are born with. All sorts of "malfunctions" can and do happen in utero. It's really not difficult to grasp.

Can you imagine how it would feel being forced to dress, look and behave like the opposite gender? That's how it feels for a transgender.

what's your problem? is it any of your business whether they decide to change themselves or stay in the same body? maybe once in a while try to get your head out of your ass and actually understand that not all people think like you. transgender is solely encourage due to the fact that it isn't not affecting anyone's rights. just go get a hobby. i really hate judgmental and nosy people who try to control other people's life simply because it doesn't fit their standards. you are no worse than those religious nuts.

Well, if you were born with 12 fingers, why not cut off the extra ones? Not everyone is born with a body they're happy with, and anyone modifying their body in any way they choose should be encouraged, in my opinion, why do we all have to be the same black and white cunt or cock babe or dude shit, can't we throw some gray in there it's 2015 everyone has a space phone in their pockets.

It doesn't matter if you understand them, as long as you accept them.

I don't know a whole lot about transgender and it's difficult to understand for me but that's probably because I am not in their position . I do know though , these people don't find their original sex "unacceptable" as you put it but that it's just not who they feel like they are or should be . These people aren't hurting me or anyone else so , I am not bothered a bit by them . It doesn't make me sad because by being transgender .. they are happy , what's sad about someone being happy?

You could research in the Internet for related content. Just a curiosity, apparently 0,25% to 1% of the world population is Transgender and nearly one million are American.

I don't understand it either. And while I have no problem at all with someone *identifying* as the other sex, I just can't wrap my head around why they feel the need to get a surgery to make their bodies an imperfect imitation of the gender they want to be. I just don't understand it. Before the operation, do they have, like, a phantom penis or a phantom vagina and boobs that they just want to make real? Or what?

I'm not against people being trans, but I don't understand it either.

I know I'm late but in case anyone wanted to know, and was scrolling randomly though search bar stuff like I am, I'm going to answer. No it's not like a phantom penis or boobs XD. I can only speak for what I know so in the situation of having a penis or boobs and you want to get rid of them: it feels like they shouldn't be there. You look in the mirror at yourself and want to cut them off. It feels like somebody put ridiculous Mr potatohead pieces on your body is the best way I can describe it. Like if you had an extra nose on your cheek. I'm really terrible at describing things haha. It makes you anxious sort of and sort of depressed and you want them gone. It just feels awful. So even if you can't understand that put yourself in their shoes ya know. What if someone just did plastic surgery on you to make you look wrong. Gave you boobs and cut off your dick or gave you a flat chest and a penis. Not fun. At all. So let them be happy. It's sort of ridiculous that people disagree with trans or nonbionary people. Attention world: not everyone can be cisgendered!

Maybe its like wanting to have a nose job? Think of it that way, I guess. That's how I see it. There's no way transgender can occur without hormone treatments. So, its not natural. Its artificial gender appearance manipulation thanks to the existence of pharmaceuticals and surgery. These people are just making their bodies look like the gender they feel they are inside their minds. I see nothing wrong with it. I would happily befriend anyone that has done a gender switcheroo. Its probably something that bugs an individual for a very long time. I doubt someone decides to do this on a whim.
