Is it normal that i like wearing girls clothes and it turns me on?

Since i was 6 i always tried on girls school shoes and school skirts and loved it, one time when i went to school my mum went down my draws and found a pair of black ballet flats with 3 bows on the front and a black pleated school skirt, she was extremely annoyed and said if it happened again i was to move out. Anyway one night i decided to wear my skirt and all of the girls school uniform in bed as it made me feel aroused little did i know that i was gonna fall asleep, my mum came in to wake me up for school and saw what i was wearing, i had to go to school like it but i didn't turn up. I just hung around in the woods instead and waited until it was time to go home. On another occasion i tried to steal a pair of quilted ballet pumps for a friends house, i stuffed them down my trousers and said i had to go home, from that day onwards i had her friends coming up to me asking to put makeup on me, i'm guessing they knew. On this other time i was hanging around with them and fell asleep in the park where we used to hang around, when i woke up they had taken my clothes off and put a grey pleated skirt, knee high socks and ballet flats along with the school blouse and makeup, (i am an extremely deep sleeper), i then found out that they had cut my clothes with scissors even my shoes so i had to go to school in girls uniform for a week. Just to summerise i am not gay nor do i consider myself to be a crossdresser i just prefer certain items of clothing to mens eventhough they make me feel turned on.
