Is it normal that i like to feel or rub my feet on rough surfaces at all time
Hi. I'm new to this website. Nice to meet you all :)
I've been searching ups and downs but could never find what this condition is called nor any other people who has it. I'm always urged to touch or rub my feet or palms on textured or rough surfaces or materials, such as wood panel, concrete, hard sponges, etc.
I also can control my sweat glands whenever I want, as I can make my palms or feet sweat, to the point that they're dripping wet. This sweating process would happen 10 times faster, almost instantaneously, if I happen to find a rough surface to rub at the moment. I have excessive and cold sweat problem most of the time too. I just hope I'm not the only one.
I've had enough of it, people thinks my sweaty palms are disgusting. I have to drive bare feet to feel the rubber groves or texture of the accelerator pedal. I even replace my car because I like the way the accelerator feel on the new car. When I don't have anything I can touch, I get nervous. The sweat also ruins my life many times over. In my art classes, in my years as a photographer and an architect. Everything I touch gets wet and muddy. I have to wash my hands twenty times a day and feel like having an OCD, and it's very contradictory that I sweat a lot or go out and walk bare feet on my driveway in the middle of the night but I also am a clean freak, but that's another story.
I have to hide and touch things in secret when I'm in public places. My wallet is rough and I use it when I have no other choices. I don't have confident shaking hands with others (partly because I don't like touching other people at all). I can't use public computers and have to have lots of napkins in my bag at all time. My bedroom walls and under my desk at the office is plastered with rough material (cork pads, thick rough sponge sheets, even rough desktop computer panel.) at all times so that I can get by and concentrate on my work.
Sorry for the length of my post. Please advise or help if you know what this sensation is called and how to cure it. Thanks much!
