Is it normal that i like the smell of my niece?

My niece is a little over one year old, I'm a female and I like the way she smells. Very sweet and intoxicating. Kind of like a curious gazelle-bunny, running and pouncing everywhere. I read that mammals, mother and infant, bond stronger when they can scent each other. I'm 18, never had sex, yet I have a stronger bond with my niece than she was with her mom. Is that normal? Cause when I baby sit her or visit her she naturally comes to me, plays near me, or just lays there with me until I leave.

That's so sweet! It is true that a lot of mammals use scent to bond with their kin or other members of their species. It's especially nice because she's your family. Also babies usually smell nice like baby powder or soap when they don't smell like they need a diaper change :)

Smell is the sense most closely related to memory, maybe her scent subconsciously reminds you of an especially happy time in your life.

That could be possible. My family has very strong genes and she resembles my sister and I a lot, however, her actions remind me of my sister and I a lot. Curious, Clumsy and Creative.
