Is it normal that i like someone and i don't even know what he looks like?

Okay, so I've been friends with this guy online for awhile(about 6 months) and I'm starting to really like the guy... like, REALLY.
But he doesn't want to show me a picture of him because he's worried I won't like him anymore. What I'm asking is that is it okay to love someone without even knowing what they look like?

  • I think it's great. Because of someone's looks, people tend to over look his/her great personality and miss out on what could have been the best relationship ever.

    ok so that its great but he could be a 50 year old creeper or something so i would be careful...ask him where he goes to school and if he is older than that ask him were he works and than look him up...hope u fined him ;)

    It is normal. But he's probably not showing you his picture because he's someone bad (kidnapper, rapist, etc).

    Actually online relationships are fake most of the time no matter how long you knew that person you will never get to really know them there are exceptions for sure,but you should see him and if he wont show you what he look like then you just leave.

    To quote one of my favourite poets:

    Wine comes in at the mouth
    And love comes in at the eye;
    That's all we shall know for truth
    Before we grow old and die.
    I lift the glass to my mouth,
    I look at you, and I sigh.

    Then again, there was no internet in the days of W. B. Yeats.

    Love is felt - not seen - so yes, I think it's normal.
