Is it normal that i keep pretty much my life in my hand bag/pocketbook?

I have my hair brush in my bag, my makeup, body lotion, wallet(with money), pens, hair clips, phone, advil, my glasses, deodorant stick, ice breakers, gum, pictures, maxi pads (just in case), band aids, camera, and I keep all that stuff just to be prepared if a moment comes up when I truly need it. Like the other day someone said they had a headache. I offered them my advil. I'm thinking about buying one of those tide to go pens to put in there.

Its a pretty big bag I have, but in my smaller bags everything gets scrunched. And I only started packing my bags like this a couple years ago. My mother tells me that its a lot of junk that I should take out.

I don't do hoarding or anything like that. This is something I strictly do with just my handbags.

    i have all the same things in my purse . + more ! get that tde pen to do and work it .

    I used to do this but realized it a bit excessive and I feel a lot mote free with less! It's also a lot less wait but yes what you're doing is normal.

    I just carry my iPhone, my wallet, my keys, and a pack of gum ;P

    I think most women carry what they feel is essential in their handbag. I don't have the same things in my bag but I like to be prepared. Lotion, makeup, and deodorant are not essential but water and a medicine bag is. I even carry Arnica for emergencies and it has come in handy more than once.

    You base that as "your life" well I have to say that is pathetic. I hope one day a mugger takes your bad so that you can realise how little those things are but you would probably just go out and re-buy everything in the bag.

      I don't mean that literally. That I carry "my life" in my bag. It's just a way of saying I have a crap load of stuff in there.

        Well in that case I would say its normal. If you actually felt that everything in that bag was your life then it wouldnt be normal.

    I carry a bunch of crap too in a BACKPACK.Call me crazy i could care less,i hate small purses.

    I think a lot of women carry many of those things. As long as you don't mind carrying it I don't think it's weird.
