Is it normal that i haven't spoken to any of my coworkers in a long time?

I just come in, sit at my desk, and try to write a bunch of reports that are due sometime next month or so. I sent a 15 page report to my boss on Monday, but he hasn't even acknowledged that it was done. I don't even know if he knows what I'm doing.

None of my coworkers speak to me and sometimes I wonder if I even exist. Kind of like in the 6th Sense where the main character is dead but he doesn't know it because he doesn't notice that no one can see him.

Lots of people are in and out because they are getting married, or having babies, or taking vacations, but no one ever tells me. The only way I know about it is by hearing people talk on the other side of the office.

    i dont talk to my coworkers at one of my jobs bcuz i dont like them.

    They don't speak to you because you don't speak to them! Not to sound mean or anything but grow a pair and talk to them. I know it's easier said than done, but the rewards will be worth it.

      Well, I was more chatty with them years ago closer to when I started working here, but things change. We used to go out to lunch 2-3 times a week together, all as a group. Then it became eating lunch in the break area when people felt like it, maybe once or twice a week. And now I've eaten lunch alone at my desk every day for almost a year now.
