Is it normal that i have the urge to own and be owned at the same time?

For most of my lifespan, I have had this strange tension between my urge and desire to be completely owned, to be possessed and dominated, to my urge and desire to own, possess, and dominate people who are appealing, not necessarily in a sexual way.

It sometimes shows up at the most random times.

I saw posts about wanting to be dominated, but I wonder how normal it is to want BOTH to be dominated and to dominate others, in a buzzing tension..

I have no idea if this is normal or unique to me.

      heh. most marriages seem to end in divorce so easily. if i owned someone, they wouldnt run away, neither would anyone owning me allow me to go anywhere.

    Look up BDSM. There's something known as a "Switch" where a person can switch between being a Masochist to being Sadist. Definitely look into this and find someone to explore your desires with.

      i am somewhat familiar with the community, i just haven't had the time or money to really explore that side of myself. i always thought of bsdm as sexual, but the desire to own and be owned is.. not really sexual. the circuitry is linked, but isnt the same.

        It doesn't always have to be sexual. It can also be emotional.

      Yup. That is what you are getting into with this passage. You want someone to control and dominate you. You might however have a very dominate personality so you want someone more dominate.
