Is it normal that i have really gory dreams of killing and dismembering people?

This has been going on for a few years. Most of my dreams consist of me going on killing sprees, and doing terrible things to people. In my dreams I torture, mutilate, brutally murder and dismember people. Usually people I don't know, but sometimes friends or family. Sometimes I wake up scared, but other times I actually feel like the dream was kind of fun (which scares me even more). Keep in mind that I would never do anything like this to an actual person. I also don't watch any horror movies or anything like that. So is this normal?

    Dreams don't mean your real thoughts when you are awake.

    The fact that is scares you is enough to show that it isn't a problem.

    Just like people like films like American Psycho, that doesn't mean they like murder.

    It's only when you constantly DAYDREAM that stuff there can be a problem, because you control your daydreams.

        I'm a girl, and I love video games and slasher movies. XD I get gory dreams. Mainly though, they're scary, and involve the supernatural, or violent. I voted normal because it's normal to me. Although I don't think it's normal to most people. If that made any sense. o.o
