Is it normal that i have explain myself for everything?

So every time I do anything and I feel like other people get bothered about it or I feel like that they need an explanation for the actions I do.
For example:

Friend: (Waits in the car for me for 2 minutes)

Me: Sorry, I took long there was a long line then I had to help this old lady after that...

Friend: It's okay, you don't need to explain yourself you don't have to explain yourself

You just feel like you need to explain things. There's no problem with that, it's completely normal. If it bothers you, just practice feeling more confident and trying not to apologize for every little thing.

You seem to be apologetic and there's no need to be. Or perhaps you're just very sociable and like to mouth off about everything you do, which is a norm for expressive people who feel they need to fill some 'gap' in the conversation.

There are some people who won't tell you a single thing however, who feel they don't owe you any explanations. I am like that, unless someone asks then I'll explain. It just depends on the person you're talking to. Some will be cool, while others can get offended if you fail to explain.

I used to be like this too. I was practically ashamed over almost everything I did. It due to the abusive environment I was raised in. I got over it which lead me to stop doing this.

It's normal. You're a woman, probably? If so extra normal.

Doesn't mean it's good, just normal.

Why do you feel ashamed that you are a considerate person?
