Is it normal that i have better online relationships than regular ones?

I have had multiple online relationships in the past. The one I am in right now is much more serious than the others though. I am fairly young and I know getting caught up in these things are looked down upon. When I try dating people I know, I tend to have a harder time opening up to them and I think they get frustrated with me because of that. So if this isn't very normal, what could I do to correct this mistake I've been making.

I don't think you are making a mistake. I don't see why people are looking down on you.

I think they are lookig down on the idea because it isn't necessarily super safe.

I'm not sure. People are people, whether they are online or not.

Well, hell, at least you can't get pregnant from an online relationship. Of course, you don't know if the other person is male or female, nice or nasty, in jail or out, etc.
The more you continue with these online relationships, the harder it will be to have a real one. You just aren't all that different or special; we all have difficulties is real relationships, but that's how we learn and grow.
Time to bite the bullet and go out into the real world and be a real person.

I just can't see how anyone would start a long-distance thing like that. It's one thing if you know you can be together in a near future , otherwise no.

You are missing out on so many things that you HAVE to be next to one another to get.

If you are happy and fine with it then I'm not going to tell you it's bad. I think it depends on how serious it is, if your dating online just to date someone then definately no. I don't personally agree with it though, due to the things I've dealt with in the past. Generally, no, I don't think it's a good idea, but it's your choice.

And what if the person I am dating is across the country and we haven't even had the chance to meet? Does that change your perception of the situation?
