Is it normal that i have a strange memory of my first life event i remember?

i know that you develop an awareness not exactly when you are born. but the oldest thing that i remember is pretty strange, and i want to know if you can relate to this.
i was about 4 years old or close to my 4th birthday. i believe, this was a dream. well, the memory feels like it was. i was flying through my room and because i saw my room from above, i remember it very well. i saw myself sleeping in my bed and flew in the direction of my body,so this actually-me and my body landed in the same position and "we" sort of became one, and i woke up from this "dream".
i remember everything what happened since then very clearly, being at home, kindergarten, primary school and so on...the precision of those memories feels very odd because i'm already 18 and most of my friends don't remember half of the friends they had at kindergarden. but i don't remember anything, what happened before this dream. none of my memories happened before this dream, i can tell because of all the big events that happened in the world around this time.
did anyone of you experience anything similar?

    Yes, I have one vivid memory from my preschool years, and since then I've been able to retain some memories of both trivial and major life events.
