Is it normal that i hate the way the star-spangled banner is sung on tv?

I am an American citizen who bleeds red, white, and blue, and it annoys the heck out of me to hear pop divas butcher our anthem at football games, on TV, etc. They each try to put their own "twist" on it, and the end result grates on my ears. Our anthem is supposed to be stately and dignified, not a neo-pop solo. I love our anthem when it is played at the Olympics or by certain bands. It is an inspiring and emotional piece when done right, but the way most people sing it, ugh! Tell me, IIN?

        Well what do u expect? Our own leaders are deliberately taking us down to even the playing field with the rest of the world. We can all be equally poor right?

          Right. Everyone equally poor except the ruling oligarchy. After all, we wouldn't want them to be poor, them being so honest and all, making sure we all get our fair share from those evil rich oil companies.

    I heard a version played on a soprano sax at a basketball game once. It was emotional, beautiful, and made me quietly proud of America.
