Is it normal that i hate it when websites have no comment section?

With the exception of The Onion.

I know the comment sections on most websites are veritable cesspools of hatred and retardation, but I still want the option to read what people thought of the content, whether I disagree with them or not.

It's worse when you hated the article or the information given was suspect at best, because then there's no way to call out the author besides shooting them an e-mail which they can promptly ignore. Call their lies in the comment section and at least other readers will be made aware.

And if the information given is completely legitimate, why not let us show our support and add our two cents?

Anyone else hate it when pages lack a comment section?

I hate it too. Comments are an integral part of any article.

Comments are a must. Allows that interaction between the content creators and the viewers/readers that allows everyone a more enriched experience.

"Call their lies in the comment section and at least other readers will be made aware." This is essential. Maybe they didn't mean to make a mistake but now they will be made aware of it.
