Is it normal that i hate it when i have to cough in public

I know we all do sometimes but when I feel it I don't want to at all--it's like being forced to talk at a ceremony. For some reason it feels "rude" to me so I hold in my coughs until it dies down even when I feel that giant tickle in my throat.
(Especially when the entire room is quiet)

I know. My asthma sucks ass and I despise coughing in public. I hate people thinking I'm sick.

I hate it too, but if I have to cough, I do it. It's better than getting very watery eyes, a runny nose, and trouble breathing from struggling to hold it in. Coughing is a part of life so cough if you need to, OP.

I can't fucking stand this either . It drives me insane when a fit of dry cough with throat tickling turns into a frenzy of uncontrollable coughing . it pisses me off
