Is it normal that i get paranoid when an attractive girl talks/approaches me

because i've seen so many prank videos on youtube, where hot girls talk or approach guys and act like they're real interested and lead them on, and then in the end reveal that it's all a prank and show the guy a hidden camera, i always felt bad for those guys. one because they thought it was genuine and two because they look stupid on camera. but i keep wondering that guy could be me. where i think some random hot chick wants to have a conversation but it's really a prank

You're online too often and letting it get to you. The scenarios where guys are being pranked (or anyone) are typically very outlandish and obvious. These situations are not frequent or even common occurrence, like it comes off on YouTube.

I'd lay off chain watching videos, since you are developing a slight paranoia due to it. You may start acting "odd" during conversations with girls.

This - and remember, you only know those prank videos on Youtube because of the popularity (hint: popular videos generally show things that aren't everyday material)

  • Wow. I have never thought about that possibility before. Those prank videos actually make money on youtube from ad views and clicks too. That would suck to be "one of those guys."

I've seen those prank videos too. How almost all guys fell for it and accepted a mediocre looking girl's advances, made me ashamed of being a male. American guys are desperate to get laid. It's kinda sad actually.

I get curious like a cat playing with string.

It's normal to be cautious. Always think twice when dealing with attractive girls because most of them are superficial, selfish and ruthless manipulators.

    • That's definitely another way of looking at it.

    I beg to differ

I've watched these youtube videos too, especially ones produced by 'AndrewHales' and 'Whatever.'

Believe it or not, you're not losing anything by being "pranked." I'm one hell of a skeptical jackass but I'd rather be "fooled" by a prank than catch them. it won't suck to be one of those guys. You don't have to be on your guard all the time.

Imperfection is admirable while infallibility can be repulsive.
