Is it normal that i get offended a little when omegle people disconnect on me?

Sometimes il be chatting to someone on a random site such as omegle. Every now and then I come across a real awesome person on there or just a nice stranger and we are having a pretty good conversation when they all of a sudden disconnect :O I'm like wtf! they didn't even have the decency to say bye after all that talking, and am offended! Not only do they do that but sometimes Il ask them a question if I'm looking for advice then they just leave before answering it!! Is this normal that I get offended and why do people do that, I mean have u ever done that and why?

I'm ok if it's because I was looking for a shared fetish and they're male too. In fact they'll often disconnect first. I do feel offended if it's a female and it happens after I tell my ASL. E.g. Hi. Hi. ASL? 23/f. 36/m. -disconnect-

They may be gay or just want to chat.

    • aw true, yeah well I kinda hate it when people start the convo off with asl, it's silly. It's for chatting to different people not sex talking which is why guys usually ask asl, grrr

You misunderstood me. I was actually looking for sex talk but I added several tags reflecting that and was paired with people who included similar tags. I assume it's all fake girls though as girls seem to always shun sex. :-(

        • yes well we girls don't wanna talk about sex we are usually looking for a nice convo with a normal person that's not desperate.

Yeah, it's normal to feel offended, but there isn't much that you can do about it sadly. I would like to think that most of them wouldn't have wanted to do that and just lost wifi connection on their end. Maybe to avoid this, if you're having a good conversation and would like to continue it, just get their e-mail address, or give yours in the case of something happening to the connection.

I've got 3 emails in 2 days of barely chatting for half an hour or so and neither of them answered emails after that.

I am sorry -- that isn't cool. I don't think many people go on there to have long conversation though, so I wouldn't take it personally. Maybe something that you would enjoy looking into instead is a pen pal, because that already has a sort of "social contract" of keeping in touch over a period of time.

Here's the other sides perspective. For me I disconnect without saying goodbye for multiple reasons
    1. The guy randomly pulls out his penis
    2. The guy asks me to do something I don't want to do (normally sexual.
    3. They creep me out
    4. Someone walks into the room
    5. Lose the connect/ computer freezes/ battery dies in computer.
I always hate when I'm having a really good conversation with someone and because my computer is stupid and just randomly shuts down I lose that conversation. It's so frustrating because it's like finding a needle in a hay stack to find an interesting non pervy person on omegle. Don't always think the worst, that person on the other end may be just as annoyed as you. Or maybe they were just d bags who didn't feel like saying bye.

    • yeah but it will usually say either : your conversational partner has disconnected or signal has been lost due to distance, something rather u know

  • I've never used Omegle but, just going by your description, it seems like it would be difficult not to feel offended.

If it's not an accident, then it means they most likely decided you weren't worth continuing a discussion with. That would suck because you are being rejected and you have no explanation as to why; just your prior conversation to ponder.
