Is it normal that i get jealous when someone likes the same thing as me?

Basically, I get really really extremely jealous and competitive when I see someone else likes the same thing as me.

For example, I want to be a politician and love politics.

If I see another young person my age who wants to have the same career path as me, or who is also interested in politics, I get SO competitive and immediately hate him/her.

This is making me seem like a terrible person, but it's true lololol

    That's a very petty way to act towards people you have something in common with, dare I say potential friends.

    I can understand but you will be lonely if you are agressie with people who have sometng in common with you.
    It could be hard, but try to change.
