I've been best friends with someone for a while now, but all he talks about now is One Direction. Especially Harry Styles. We're both big fans, but he doesn't really want to do anything else and sometimes won't even hang out. I can't help feeling a bit jealous. I'm worried I'm the one that's being weird.
I don't understand why you'd be jealous. Why would you be jealous of someone's love of a band? I don't get it.
Are you kidding me? None of this normal. I used to be a huge fan of a singer a few years ago and as much as I'm ashamed to admit it, there were times where I was fanatical and I would flip out on people if I thought they were "against" this singer. Eventually, I began to see the error of my ridiculous ways and I stopped considering myself what those fans of that singer called themselves. I got put off on considering myself a huge fan because this singer's fans were fanatical, violent, insane and so on. I'm not trying to sound bitchy but there are more important things in the universe then One Direction. It's saddening if you can't see that...
Strange as it sounds I've had these feelings, when I meet someone who's been a fan of a band for longer that me I get envious of their dedication and feel that because they grew up with the band they can love them in a way I will never understand. It makes me feel like I'm not a super-fan, just another regular one. So yeah, normal (ingoring the fact you LIKE One Erection).
