Is it normal that i get irritated with other gay people who bash bisexuals?

Well I'm a gay guy I am pretty open minded so I don't like close minded individuals be they anything out of the norm. I have noticed that gay guts and lesbians alike seem to be very adamant about bashing bisexuals, I've heard that It's nasty, they're whores, and they don't believe in it. This pissed me off because we generally get bash and to bash another sexuality I feel is hypocritical, and makes homosexuals just as close minded as some heterosexuals. I personally like bisexuals better.

  • YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. I HATE that shit. It's so ridiculous, gay's should know more than anyone what it's like to be judged and bashed based on your sexuality. And bisexuals are attracted to both sexes, so what? That has nothing to do with the individual and their values and beliefs about monogamy and relationships.

I haven't heard of gay people doing it, you'd think they'd understand. I've heard straight people do it and say that it's impossible or that the persons just doing it to be cool. It really hurts my feeling and makes me angry. Why can't this world be run by love? I'm tired of hate!

That's absurd. I'm not around gay people much but I never would have thought that they would have a problem with bisexuality. What's up with that?!

Yes, I feel the same way. It's a very hypocritical thing to do.

It isn't that people of a certain sexuality are closed-minded. It's just that people in general are.

This time I did try to answer your question. Strictly, your question was about your own feelings of irritation. Is it normal to be irritated with people who criticise based on sexual preference? Yes, of course.

But you seemed to suggest that being gay automatically made someone incapable of this. But, in the same way that racists can come from any race, this isn't quite true. If you look at my original answer, this is what I was saying to you. That you shouldn't be irritated by people who criticise simply because they are gay. In fact, the act of doing that is discriminatory in itself.

But you'd never hear me saying "You're gay. You should know better". This was exactly my point.

That is exactly why I meant you did not understand. I did not mean that their being gay meant they should not criticize, my point was that I felt that it is hypocritical for some homosexuals to condemn bisexuals because they are bisexual. It's irritating because what homosexuals and supports want equality, why shun bisexuals?

It is kind of is hypocritical, yeah. I came at it from the viewpoint that nobody should get bashed, but I do see your point.
