Is it normal that i get angry at people for making mistakes that i myself make?

For example, I get extremely frustrated at work when other colleagues make mistakes due to not checking their work, or not concentrating on what they need to do, yet my work isn't always perfect either?
I get angry when people talk about other people behind their backs, yet I do the same thing.
I hate it when people act like they like me even though they don't, yet I do the same to others...
The list can go on an on, and I'm sure you've got the message by now.

Often the realisation that you were being a hypocrite is an afterthought. If you know it at the time and don't like this behaviour you'd gradually over time try to improve and not do this.

Some people have extremely high standards and don't like to see others mess up because they can reflect this back on themselves and see they do the same. It's nice to think things are perfect.. so if they dont go that way. we dont like it.

if it's simply about being a hypocrite, just try and improve on yourself first then you can be concerned about others, mainly if it actually effects YOU though.

Not a very helpful answer, but thanks for being straight with me and telling me what I already know.
I am aware of the fact that I am hypocritial in my behaviour, thus I want to know if others are also having the same problem and how they deal with it.
You need to learn some respectful human interaction methods, U.O.E.N.O it.

      • You're somewhere between a hypocrite and a narcissist.

        That's everybody, you're normal.

You might find if you could be a little more forgiving to yourself, you'd forgive others too.
I don't see you as necessarily a hypocrite as much as someone who is insecure, I wonder if your parents were over critical of you.

Focus more on yourself. It seems like it makes you feel better about your own flaws to criticize others for those same flaws. Focus on improving yourself and maybe you won't care so much about other peoples' mistakes.

Thank you, you are right, but let me just say that I certainly do NOT enjoy criticizing others, in fact it makes me feel worse about myself. But, I DO need to focus on improving myself first.
