Is it normal that i find it perplexing when people change within an instant?

I know change is constant. It is inevitable but I find it puzzling when people change and shed their old personas without even blinking an eye. It's almost pretentious and leaves me to wonder whether the person they changed to is what they were all along but just hidden away from everyone.

It's like they suddenly just dropped the act and pretended like they weren't the people they were before. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for moving forward and being a better you but it doesn't mean cutting all resemblance of the past and people. That's what makes you, you.

This makes me feel like I'm the only one who is actually true to myself. Is it normal to think so?

A lot of people feel this way about themselves -- that some personalities are just an act in their everyday life. The fact that you know yourself so well that you feel no need to put up a front is a beautiful thing. It's normal to be baffled by seeing this in others when you don't feel the same, so maybe if you see this in others you can encourage them to find their true selfs, but if they are changing chances are they already are looking.

The term for these kind of people is bipolar.
