Is it normal that i feel more hurt by my ex who doesn't care about me anymore..

...Than by the one who hates me?

At least with the second one I don't have to engage with him anymore. The fact that the first one still acknowledges me in passing almost makes it worse.

  • Rejection is tough to accept. It's your pride. Let it go and you'll fall for a new person.

I think it's the lack of emotion that's upsetting you, because you're probably still into him. I think you ought to try to see less of him around.

Yes, he's not interested in you anymore, and that's a painful thing, but it's okay. This too shall pass.

Sounds like you miss them and because you can't communicate at all its a loss. The other ex hates you, so either something traumatic happened or they are just a hateful person that you wouldn't want to be around anyway

    • Yeah, the ex who hates me was due to a specific (though traumatic) conflict, but the one who still acknowledges me is harder to deal with because I don't have the same closure.

One person is generally always more hurt than the other ... Time really does heal and in 5 years time you'll prob have forgotten bout most of it

    • Well yeah, but what I'm really getting at is the whole thing about how "The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference." It hurts to be hated, but it hurts even more to feel like I'm nothing.

In all fairness neither of these things are a big deal, this is just about how I see them comparatively.
