My stepmother makes me feel like Cinderella, except my father isn't dead. She tells me that the house is dirty and it needs to be cleaned...then she takes my stepsisters out to eat!I just feel so empty :(

    Can you talk to your father about it? Not in a way which namecalls or accuses his wife but in terms of how you're feeling

    If dad turns a blind eye to this normal, albeit shitty behavior, then have to deal until you're 18, then tell all of them to go take a flying f**k.

    I have heard that some (less mature) step-parents have some fucked up tendency to see their step-kids as little more than painful and annoying reminders of the fact that their spouses had lives and kids and the whole 9 yards before they came along.

    It's unfortunate but in a way, it is kind of normal.
