I can see appreciating the details more, how some can render skin as if there is blood pumping beneath it, or how that strange, obscure little marking tricks the eye into another reality, where things look so real, but it can be seen that they are not real. However, it is best to consider the details as part of the whole, not a separate entity that you love more or less than the rest. You wouldn't want to love just one part of a person, but their whole being, albeit that is sometimes a hard thing to do.
It's normal. I hate when people love art only because it's colorful and not because it took time and effort.
The tiny intricacies of art is what separates the "good" art from the "exceptional" art. People who only look at a work of art as a whole without scrutinising the details don't have a developed "eye for art"
So yes you are very very normal.
I'm not sure I really get what you're asking...you mean to say that you like the small details in a work of art more than the whole thing overall? Assuming that's what you mean, I'd say it's normal. I don't really understand art to be honest, but I've seen my friends (they're art students) obsess over the tiny details in their art and in the art of others.
