Is it normal that i enjoy watching my 8-year-old daughter eat?

Her mother and I are separated, so it's just me and her every other week. We have breakfast and dinner together. I finish eating pretty quick and when I'm done I just watch her eat in her little eight-year-old way, chewing with her mouth open and drinking from a cup that's way too big for her. Is it normal to just silently watch and enjoy your children doing every day things?

I wish I had a Dad like you when I was a kid.. One that actually notices me or cares. To me, my dad was just some adult who liked to watch porn movies when we weren't around, and during those years when I was 8, my parents actually wanted to divorce, but they didn't.. For some reason. He used to listen to shitty music like Nickelback, or watch stupid movies like Final Destination, or he just liked to get drunk or smoke, or go outside whenever he got angry. Now he's just some guy that talks about his work all the time and he rarely, if ever, spent time with his family. He wonders why his wife doesn't like him.. I really think my mom is cheating on him. And he likes to watch Tosh. O all the time or make racial comments. I truly dislike my parents. I don't really remember him being around. Then, he and my mother would wonder why I didn't like the either of them. They barely taught me anything.. Or talked to me. All they taught me is that the ones you're supposed to love are the ones that can also turn their backs on you for their own purpose and sake. Man, do I do wish for someone like you to be my Dad in my next life. Ugh, maybe you miss your wife or something and your kid reminds you of her. You're too sweet.

I don't care what everybody else says, I'm happy for you that you take the time to notice and appreciate your little girl. They grow up way to fast. She has plenty of time to learn proper table manners, and she probably hears that stuff all the time from her Mom. Don't waste the little time you have with her by nitpicking. These are precious moments that most parents don't take the time to enjoy. Relish them!

just sitting and watching while your child displays atrocious table manners? Completely normal, you're a model parent. You should probably get her a tablet so she can watch movies while she eats. Be sure to take it with you to restaurants so all the other diners can "enjoy" your hellspawn, which incidentally isn't her fault at all, it's all at your doorstep pal, thanks for bringing down the standard of living for anyone within your sphere, we needed another parent with no idea what they're doing to their child or it's long term effect on society.
