Is it normal that i dont like certain compliments my boyfriend gives me?

My boyfriend gives me several compliments, and one of them is "You look beautiful". Now normally it makes me feel good about myself (when I actually DO look good). But when i've had a long day, my hair is messy and I didn't bother to put on makeup or a decent outfit, I know how I look; and it sure as hell isn't "beautiful". So when I know I look terrible (and similar to a homeless person), it really bugs me when he tells me that I look beautiful. So my question is, is it normal to be so annoyed when he tells me i'm beautiful even when I know I don't look like it?

    Maybe even looking bad you still look beautiful to him

    I actually like the dishevelled look at times with the right girl & I doubt I'm the only one so maybe he means it...

    Messy hair & wearing casual clothes - like jeans & a hoodie - gives a natural look which can be as nice or nicer than the "done up" look, albeit in a different way

    Maybe he sees past the messy hair and still thinks your beautiful because he loves you so much.
    I dont think you should get irritated at a complement ...seems silly to be upset about something nice

    I actually think some women are much more beautiful when they first wake up in the morning, eyes all puffy, no make up hiding their face, and 'don't come looking for me when I get lost in the mess of your hair' lol. Also sometimes when they just get done running or something and are all sweaty and out of breath and flushed. Forget it haha.
