Is it normal that i dont have courage to talk to a girl that i know likes me?

There's this girl in my school that I KNOW likes me and that I have started to develope a crush on over the past year. We met through friends a while back but never really talked and only saw each other on ocassion but her friends have told me she really likes me. We're both really pretty shy and neither of us have worked up enough courage to talk to one another and the only real interaction we ever had with each other was a drunken New Years party make out session. When I see her in the hallways, neither of us say anything to each other but you can tell that we both want to. High school is ending soon and I'm affraid I'm never gonna get to a chance to see if there could have been anything between us. Is this normal or am I just a big wuss?

i'm sure the drunken make out session doesn't help lessen the awkwardness between you. i say, just suck it up. speaking as a female, we want guys to want us. i know it may seem unfair, but for some reason we feel like guys should be the ones to take initiative. reherse in the mirror what you want to say to her. i'm serious. no one has to know. if you practice enough and prepare yourself for the big moment, it might help you be a little more confident. be straight with her. say something like "i know that drunk night was a little weird, but i'm really into you and i'd like to chill outside of school." invite her to a movie or out to eat. get creative. live a little.

It is beacuse neither of you wants to seem silly or do something silly infront of the other. Take the upper hand man i know this is hard im shy aswell and i have regretted not doing talking to a girl in higlschool thikning what could have been for ages. Try to find the right situation or create one and talk to her dont miss out on the oppourtunity or you will regret it.

Been there, man, it sucks. Liked a freshman chick, with similar intrests, even the same pink floyd album. I look back and noticed she seemed to be giving me signs she liked me, but, when i finally asked her, she found someone else, and moved away soon after. I know how hard it is, but ask her to a movie, she will most likely say yes, unless you wait too long. Do it, for yourself, for her, and for every man and woman who missed their chance.

  • Well You're older than me, so this may be a useless remark. Last year, I liked this guy SOOO much and he liked me. We never got up the courage to talk to eachother. Finally, only in january, we talked to eachother. But I found out I didn't like him as much as I actually did, so now we're just really good friends. Now, I like someone else and he likes me, but I'm not dating him because it seems like every relationship there is goes down into a dump. So we decided that we won't date until we get older or until we're ready to..
Oh wow I just noticed I told you that story for no reason. :P WHOOPIEDOO. Sorry bout' that. I'm too lazt to push the back space 83 times. :) Anyways, Totally normal. Guy's are scared to talk to girls all the time.
