Is it normal that i don't understand the appeal of bacon sundaes?

I just don't grasp the concept of what makes them appealing. Why would you put bacon in a sundae?

    It's that salty and sweet thing. I've never had a Bacon Sunday, but I do really enjoy kettle corn.
