What i mean by that is, there are a hole bunch of amazing singers out there long before her and they don't get the recognition they deserve, e.g. Kelly Clarkson, Sara Bareilles or Jon McLaughlin. I think she has an OK voice but it's nothing special and the same goes for her music. What gives? What am I missing?
she's not overrated, just over played. Her music is simple and good. But after hearing Rolling in the Deep for the first time, I really liked it but after over playing by the radio, I can't bear listening to it again. I remeber the same thing happped with the Police's Every Breath You Take
I think she has a great voice. She's just really popular right now because she's relatively new. Then in a couple years there will be new celebs who suddenly get super popular.
I don't like Adele either. I don't care for her style of music and I think she is overrated.
I think she has a better voice than Kelly Clarkson. Clarkson sounds average/normal but Adele's voice is different...However I think Adele is boring live. She does the same thing. I know she's afraid of performing live though.
It's not the fame it's her music that expresses everyone's feelings to the world because there are many relationships that are happening, like if you found out your crush is married you should listen to someone like you. Lol

I like all of her songs especially "Rolling in the Deep" and "Set Fire to the Rain"!
I didn't like Adele in the beginning, still not a fan of hers but her 'Skyfall' song was excellent, also liked 'Fire to the rain.'
me too. shes way too overrated .....back home in china those people were raving about her too. i dont get the significance..
I feel the same way about adele. I don't understand it either though I try to keep my oppinion to myself since my absolutley loves her. I thought her music was ok doesn't really go in my favs.
She is talented and I'm glad she won. You win some you lose some. She's showing that there are still people out there that actually have talent and don't have to rely on auto tune. It can get tiring if a song gets played all of the time. I love Somebody Like You, but it started to get a bit annoying after I heard it so many times.
Totally normal! Everyone has different tastes and I feel the exact same way :D

It's not just her amazing voice, but also her regal demeanor, that at her age, no one sees anymore. She's classy and it's refreshing.
I like Kelly, but her voice isn't as "special" as Adele's is..in my opinion. Sara is pretty good but I find her songs to sound very similar.

Kelly Clarkson gets plenty of attention. Sad, considering her voice is street-karaoke club variety. Sara Bareilles is good though, but she has a terrible publicist XD I'm sure she'd get some recognition if she actually did something more than once in a blue moon.
