Is it normal that i don't like how i can hear too much about my neighbors?

I'm living in some tightish housing this year, and it seems like I can hear what my neighbors are doing all the time. I don't like it, so I wear headphones most of the time. I also talk to myself a lot and I'm worried about what my neighbors think of me because I really haven't talked to them at all. Is it normal?

    Well you could talk to your neighbour and ask them to quiet down a bit. But if you are not too keen doing that, could you speak to the building manager or Landlord?

    Why do you care what they think? You don't seem too interested in getting to know them, why would it matter?

    If you get to know them, their noise might not seem so obnoxious.
