Is it normal that i don't know my gender?
So I was raised by a single father who I thought was my hero. The thing is, his views on gender is a bit problematic. Gender roles play a part. I think cisnormativity does too. That being said, he's always been the one to tell me 'you're a girl,' 'be a lady,' 'act like a girl.' So, because he was my hero, I accepted his word blindly and repressed any contrasting thoughts. Well, I'm old enough to think for myself now, I have been for quite a while. I feel like I don't conform to being male, but female doesn't quite fit it either. (Forgive me if I sound ignorant, I'm not very educated on the topic.)
