Is it normal that i don't consider my dad's kids to be my siblings?

I've never even gotten to know my dad's kids & I honestly grew up with the mentality that someone is only your brother and sister if both your mom and dad are the same, so I don't consider my dad's kids to be my siblings at all, IIN?

    Your father's children by a woman other than your mother would technically be your half brothers and or half sisters regardless of how you feel.

    All I have are half siblings so by your logic I suppose I'm an only child. (If only right?) I love my siblings and refuse to see them as less than "real brothers/sisters", they're all I've got.

    Yea but how can I consider someone to be my brother/sister when I've never even spent a single minute with them.
