Is it normal that i don’t like it when guys cry

I’m a girl and I find it really unattractive when guys cry in front of me. I’m not a particularly emotional person and I don’t like it when guys act more feminine or womanly than I do. When a guy cries, I see him as girly and emotionally weak and those traits are completely off putting to me. I find it more appealing when guys get angry. Anger can be sexy, crying is just pathetic.

Crying is expressing a human emotion. It is not weak or "girly".

    Ugh so gross.

So the sort of guy who most appeals to you is a psychopath. They're incapable of empathy and lacking in most human emotions, but they do feel anger, resentment, envy and jealousy.

I guess you could also be happy with your classic 19th Century guy who bottles up all his emotions until some trivial event causes him to explode in rage.

    Good luck with that.

Just because a guy doesn't cry doesn't make him a psychopath.

Honestly, if a guy feels like he has to hide his emotions from me, I just wont find him to be dating material. The whole "hur durr I'm a man, Im masculine, crying is feminine, I'm not going to express normal emotions" is just friggin boring. XD

Why? Crying is feminine. It makes perfect sense to me.

Dude, your ideas about gender, and masculinity are already jacked, this comment just adds to that archaic, black & white bullshit.

So, according to your mindset veterans who watched their best friends die in battle are feminine, huh?

What ideas about gender? The fact that there's only two and you can't switch?

A veteran crying shows his feminine side yes. That doesn't mean he shouldn't cry. That doesn't mean he is more feminine than masculine, it just means that he has SOME feminine in him.

            > The fact that there's only two and you can't switch?

            Oh dear god.

Edit: Yet you also seem to think that people are varying degrees of feminine and masculine? I'm lost.

Yes. Let me explain sir. There are Male and female. Males TEND to be more masculine and less feminine and females TEND to be less masculine and more feminine. Not all females are super feminine and not all men are super masculine. But on average they act more like which trait goes with their gender. But a masculine woman is not a man and a feminine man is not a woman. You can change how masculine and feminine you are with hormones and behavior change but gender is decided before birth and your stuck with it. Females can give birth and also breastfeed. Until someone with XY chromosomes can do those two things then someone can't go 'MTF'. Men can get an erect penis and impregnate a women with their sperm containing their DNA. Untill I see someone with XX chromosomes do that, I don't believe anyone can transition 'FTM'.

              Any questions?

    You're just stupid.

Crying is how we as humans (and other animals) express pain whether mental or physical. This is why men are so fucked up, culture conditions them to be emotionless to the point they can't process basic shit like rejection, failure, grief, etc until adulthood and channeling all those emotions into unstable anger instead.

I seriously hate dealing with men who can't handle rejection and react to simple shit with anger. It's like the biggest red flag, and not attractive at all to me.

I cry maybe 3 times a year. 2 of them are from horrendous shits but the last one is if I see a sad puppy video or something.

You seriously have issues you need to sort out if you feel like that. Those barbaric viewpoints are incredibly damaging to society. You need to modernise your prejudiced thinking.

I don't like when anyone cries. I am not openly emotional, I have this idea that your emotions should be kept under private. If I get sad I go away and cry and I write about how I feel. I have no need for sharing it with other people.
I dated a guy once who would cry over literally the tiniest things all the time and I nearly felt like I was going to explode because it pissed me off so much and I had to be nice and try to calm him down.

You need a partner with the perfect touch for sexual domination. A guy that makes you melt into the hypnotic pleasure of submissiveness.

  • Agreed. It’s a perverse country we live in where emotional instability is encouraged. We didn’t win two world wars by crying.

I actually agree. But for selfish reasons. If a dude sincerely cries though, I'd feel for that. If he cries as much as me I'd head for the fucking hills.

Females like masculine men. It is what it is. Just for the fuck of it, I just googled "it turns me on when he" (with the quotes so the search is done verbatim), and I'd say around a third of the results I got involved male anger in some form ("when he's pissed", "when he gets mad", "when he yells at me", etc.) Some even admit to provoking the guy just so he lashes at them. Bitches have always wet themselves to male anger and male aggression, because they're usually expressions of dominance.

In the process I came across some chick who masturbates to wrestlers threateningly ranting away: https://twitter.com/pintsizedthreat/status/543933786925584385
