Is it normal that i dislike masturbation being seen as "self love"?

I've hung out in a few sexually positive female circles in my time and I very much believe in sex positivity.

However, I've always been a bit weirded out way feminist circles talk about masturbation in overly positive, worshipful ways such as "self love", the importance of taking your time ans advice to stop if it hurts.

I love carrying on after I've reached orgasm and carrying on to the point where it doesn't necessarily feel good any more.

I almost always choke myself during the act, but NEVER EVER with tools.
