I never knew what it was. I never really cared to look it up until I saw it batted back and forth in questions. Now I see them EVERYWHERE!!!!

    Yes, it isn't a word that is used in normal conversation very often. There are a few neat words I didn't know before coming here, mostly Americanisms.

    I learned that word back in grade school, and the origin of it.

    These days, I cherish the moments when someone says something that I have to grab a dictionary to understand.

    Although those moments only occur with I'm conversing with people my age or older, which also means it never happens here.
