Is it normal that i cant fall for anyone else but him, who i see once a year?

So obviously there is a guy I love. This guy is living in the same country as I but we only see each other during the summer. This is because he lives far away. But the problem is I cannot fall for someone who is within my reach (neighborhood) without letting the guy from the summer go, but I can't get in a relationship with him or say goodbye cuz I know I will fall for him again during the summer. What should I do and is it normal that I can't, or feel like I can't see anyone else??

    If the addiction is as strong as you described, maybe you should think about reducing the distance between the two of you. Can't you move to the place where he lives?

    you just haven't found the right guy yet. or maybe you have, maybe Summerman is the one. and if that's the case, then you guys will find a way to eventually be together. I wouldn't sweat it so much.
