Is it normal that i can watch real videos of people dying and not be bothered?

I have had friends show me really bad videos of people being brutally tortured and being killed. They freaked out by the videos but i can just stare at the screen and it doesn't bother me at all. I like watching it for some reason. There was one time where my friend showed me the video three guys one hammer and he told me to turn it off. I said "no, you told me to watch this video and I am going to watch the whole thing." Is this normal?

    its ok, as long as you dont enjoy it.
    some have strong will but its not good to lose compassion :D

    It's sort of normal anyway. The Romans did crucifixions a long time. If everyone was repulsed they would've halted the practice sooner.

      yes that is very true and it has been pretty much proven that anyone is capable of becoming a monster if put under certain circumstances. The Stanford experiment proved that.

    @pmon......don't watch it. Don't even look for it. What has been seen can not been unseen. Just do yourself a favour, don't watch it.

    I agree three guys one hammer is not bad. I can watch snuff and not be grossed out/disgusted but I don't necessarily like it.

    i think it's overall normal
    with the caveat that it gets a liiiittle bit less normal the older you get.

    I can watch almost anything, I love pictures of crime scenes and traffic accidents, but I could not sit through 3 guys one hammer, it was all good, til they took a screwdriver to the guys face.

    If the man being killed deserved it, I could watch whatever. Feel a little queasy if it's someone innocent though. Guess I have a weird sense of morality :p
