Is it normal that i can't talk to people

I have trouble speaking to the vast majority of people, and I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing wrong. It's not confidence per se, I don't think. I can start taking to a stranger, no problem, but as the conversation goes on, I get the impression that they start to suspect there's something wrong with me, and I'm not sure why.

I think that it may be that I'm not a very talkative person myself, so it's on the other person to do most of the work in the conversation. I'm just not very good at talking. I think that most people think I'm weird or creepy.

I talk with my best friends but sometimes we are just happy to sit together and not talk.

You have social anxiety. It's normal lots of people do.
There are a number of ways to overcome this. Join a club that shares your interests, join Toast Masters. Volunteer
locally. Use your library or Google to find tips on being a good conversationalist.
