Is it normal that i can't put my cell phone down for any length of time?

Sitting in my car, at work, in the store, waiting for an oil change, and even at long stop lights I seem to always be looking at my cell phone. Most of the time I am surfing, reading emails or the News. I don't do Facebook or Twitter, but I have read is it normal posts while at stop lights...:-(

I'm going to do the cell phone challenge and put my cell phone down for one week. Only answer phone calls or make very important texts.

When I went on Vacation in Hawaii I would walk down the beach and see many people on the cell phones...it struck me then that there is a big problem. People are so connected to their cell phones that they let life pass them by -or- view life threw their cell phone. Like I went to a Hawaiian party and instead of enjoying the party people viewed the party via their cell phone...I'm like look up and see with your own eyes!!!
