Iin, that i can't find my sexuality?

All my life I have been unable to find a lasting name for what my sexuality is. I have identified as straight, gay/lesbian, bisexual, and asexual.

My attractions seem to change as I age. I fear running out of sexualities. I considered that I might be demisexual but, I'm not sure. I'm definitely not an auto sexual.

With each passing day, I'm becoming more and more open to the possibility of being pan sexual but, I'm not sure. I worry that one day I'll find that it no longer fits me. Is this normal?

  • This whole thing about sexuality is getting annoying.

If you exclusively enjoy the same sex sexually (as in you have a penis and you like penises), then you're homosexual.

If you like both sexes sexually regardless of if you have a sex you prefer, you're bisexual.

Pansexual is basically the same thing as bisexual so I don't even know why it is a thing.

Asexual is that you don't have any sexual attraction towards any sex.

Can we stop trying to add to the list of sexualities when there really is no need to? Just makes people look like they're trying to seem unique.

Bisexuality is only reserved for sexual attraction to males and females. Whereas, Pansexuality, is an attraction towards all genders. This would include: Intersex, Transgender, Androgyne, etc.

      • I think that's a pointless deviation in my opinion.

It's still considered to be different.

However, I will say that I've met people who identified as Pan, who claimed to have no type- completely ignoring the gender aspect.

          • But you can make everything different. People that are bisexual can be different to other bisexuals, same goes for pansexual and so on. If we're going to just start making new sexualities on any difference within sexual orientations then there's not going to be an end to it.

I think it has already hit a wall. I'm a member on a LGBT+ site and there are so many sexualities on there that I don't think there's any room to create new ones. I think everything's been covered.

I've definitely been in a similar position myself. It's best for some people to not be hung up on defining ourselves in some fashion. Some of us are not really any concrete identity when it comes to sexuality. Just be able to go through life without worrying about "what you are" sexually. It doesn't really matter as long as you are happy with yourself and your life
