Is it normal that i can hear my neighbor breathing through these thin walls?

If the TV is off and the vent fan is off, I can hear breathing coming from the tenants to the left of me. It's shallow breathing. I know I can't ask them to stop breathing/talking on the phone/living in what they paid for. I'm just upset that there's terrible insulation. And for you apparently well off folks like on citydata, it's not as simple as just picking up and moving. Plus this is the cheapest hotel suite in the area.

    get a set of drums and play them hideously out of rhythm, they will move out!

      It's an extended stay apartment kind of hotel. Three floors. Housekeeping every Tues. In Matthews nc. Edit: Every week people renew or leave and we have special keys that make the light on our doors turn green.

          Actually the cheapest rentals here are three times more than my rent and higher. It's not a hotel. It has some aspects but it's just an apartment. Intown suites. Look at that and tell me it doesn't look like apartments.
